About
Us
There
are hundreds of thousands of adults and children throughout the
world who have a disability of some kind. Much of the time these
people are homebound or hidden in various ways from social involvement
in their country. These individuals are not given the opportunity
to be functioning members of society and are discriminated against
and misunderstood. There are many individuals who care for these
people and have their best interest at heart, however, lack of education,
resources and training hinder their efforts to provide them with
the best possible services. Secret Garden International (SGI) is
a non-profit organization, started in 2002, designed to connect
education specialist trained in serving the disabled with teachers,
parents and caregivers throughout the world.
Highly
equipped special education professionals from the United States
are sent to train and educate the caregivers in the area of developmental
and physical disabilities. This includes specialist in the field
of autism, psychology, speech/language, occupational therapy, social
work, perceptual communication, educational handicapps, cognative
delays, behavior, as well as life skills.
